We each have an important role to play in building a more thriving and inclusive culture.
Many business leaders care deeply about building cultures of belonging but may feel unclear about how to personally engage in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. I support leaders as they journey inward to become more confident and courageous partners in DEI work. Together, we can create workplace cultures where every team member can thrive and contribute fully.
Domination-based cultures dehumanize all of us. When we step up together, we can create meaningful change.
Domination-based cultures are zero-sum game competitions that oppress some groups and dehumanize all of us. These cultures are rooted in fear and a subsequent drive to gain status and power over others. Our opportunity is to see more clearly the roles we've been socialized to play in upholding these cultures and to discover and explore the roles we can now choose to play in dismantling them. Together, we can invest in equitable, partnership-based cultures.*
